Fees & Costs
This page collects every fee charged by OhShii across the Launcher and the Locker: what it is, which asset you pay it in, and what happens to it. Each section links to the page that explains the flow in full.
Two different things are being charged
Section titled “Two different things are being charged”Almost every action costs you two unrelated things, and it helps to keep them apart:
| What it is | Who receives it | |
|---|---|---|
| Platform fee | OhShii’s own fee for the service | The OhShii treasury (or, for the referral band, a sponsor) |
| Network cost | What the Internet Computer itself charges | The network — cycles to run canisters, and the ledger’s own transfer fee on every transfer |
The network cost is not revenue and nobody can waive it. Creating a canister costs cycles, bought from ICP at the network’s live conversion rate, so that part of the price moves with the market. Every token transfer also costs the ledger’s own fee — 0.0001 ICP on the ICP ledger, 0.01 OHSHII on the OHSHII ledger, and whatever the token defines for any other token.
Creating things (Launcher) — paid in ICP
Section titled “Creating things (Launcher) — paid in ICP”All of these are one-off payments made when you use the form. Each form quotes the total, split into platform fee and cycles, before you approve anything.
| What you create | Platform fee | Cycles you fund | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standalone token (ICRC-1 ledger) | 5 ICP | 2T (ledger) + 2T if you also create an index | The index canister is optional but on by default |
| Index canister for an existing token | 5 ICP | 2T | Adds transaction history to a token you already have |
| LGE campaign | 9 ICP — 3.9998 ICP platform fee + 5.0002 ICP pool-creation reserve | 6T (token ledger + index + campaign DAO) | The reserve pays ICPSwap’s pool passcode; it is re-priced live from ICPSwap at the moment you create |
| Campaign banner (optional) | +3 ICP at creation, then 0.5 ICP per replacement | — | The first upload after enabling the feature is included |
| Imported DAO (governance for a token that already exists) | 20 ICP | 2T (governance canister) | No new token is minted |
| Sponsor code | 3 ICP | — | One-off, non-refundable |
| Relaunch of a campaign whose pool could not be created | none | 4T + the 5.0002 ICP pool reserve | At cost — OhShii adds no fee to a relaunch |
Creation costs are not refundable: the canisters are created and funded with cycles the moment you pay, whether or not the campaign later succeeds.

Taking part in an LGE
Section titled “Taking part in an LGE”The contribution split
Section titled “The contribution split”Every contribution to an LGE is split the instant it is received. Nothing is held back later:
| Share | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| 90% | The campaign’s own sub-account, which funds the ICPSwap liquidity pool at completion |
| 5% | The OhShii treasury |
| 0–5% | The referral band, paid to the sponsor who referred the buyer, if any. The share depends on the sponsor’s Voting Power (2% / 3% / 5%); whatever no sponsor earns stays in the OhShii treasury |
The referral band is a capped pool: 5% of the curve is the maximum an LGE pays out to all sponsors combined, and no amount of sponsor activity can raise it. It is held per campaign and settled only when the campaign completes — sponsors claim it from the campaign’s own DAO, not from OhShii.
Because the split is a percentage, it scales with the campaign’s target and the percentages never change:
| LGE target | → ICPSwap pool | → platform + referral |
|---|---|---|
| 500 ICP (default) | 450 ICP | 50 ICP |
| 1,000 ICP | 900 ICP | 100 ICP |
| 5,000 ICP (maximum) | 4,500 ICP | 500 ICP |

The Guest fee — paid in OHSHII
Section titled “The Guest fee — paid in OHSHII”A wallet that has not verified its identity pays 30,000 OHSHII on its first contribution to a campaign. It is charged once per wallet per LGE, goes 100% to the OhShii treasury (nothing is burned), and is refunded in full if the campaign fails.
Verifying your identity removes it entirely — World ID or DecideID, free, and it also raises your purchase cap. At most 50 unverified wallets can take part in any one campaign; the cap exists to make identity-farming expensive, not to limit participation.
If the campaign fails
Section titled “If the campaign fails”| Who | Gets back |
|---|---|
| Contributor | ≈95% of what they contributed — the 90% held for liquidity plus the 5% referral band that was never paid out |
| Contributor who paid the Guest fee | The 30,000 OHSHII as well |
| Campaign creator, on their own contribution | ≈70% |
Refunds are paid from the campaign’s own held sub-accounts, minus the ledger’s transfer fee on each leg. → Refunds
Locking tokens (OhShii Locker) — paid in the token you lock
Section titled “Locking tokens (OhShii Locker) — paid in the token you lock”| What you lock | Fee |
|---|---|
| Tokens (single-asset lock, including OHSHII) | 1% of the locked amount, taken once at creation, in the token being locked |
| LP position (ICPSwap liquidity) | No platform fee — the full amount goes into the position |
The other 99% is yours: locking does not burn anything and does not change the token’s supply. You receive back exactly what was locked, on the schedule you chose, minus only the token’s own ledger fee on each unlock — one transfer fee per scheduled unlock, reserved at creation so an unlock can never fail for lack of fees.
How many locks you can hold at once
Section titled “How many locks you can hold at once”A single account can hold 100 active locks at a time. The limit counts the account that creates a lock, not the one that receives it — locks created for you by someone else, such as campaign vesting, do not use up your allowance.
Reaching the limit does not affect the locks you already have. It refuses a new one, and the refusal says which limit was reached.
The allowance frees up on its own: when a lock completes, is cancelled, or is reclaimed, it stops counting as active and you can create another. Nothing needs to be done to reset it.
Governance proposal deposits
Section titled “Governance proposal deposits”Creating a proposal requires a refundable deposit, held in escrow for that specific proposal. It exists to make spamming the vote expensive; it is not a payment for the vote.
| Where | Deposit | Asset |
|---|---|---|
| ONS — the OhShii DAO | 30,000 | OHSHII |
| SONS — a campaign’s own DAO | 30,000 (default) | That campaign’s token |
Both amounts are set by governance and can be changed by proposal, and each campaign DAO sets its own independently.
What happens to the deposit
Section titled “What happens to the deposit”| Outcome | Deposit |
|---|---|
| Executed (or an approved Motion, which has nothing to execute) | Forwarded to the treasury — the cost of a governance action that passed |
| Execution failed after approval | Refunded in full — the failure was not the proposer’s doing |
| Rejected or expired | Refunded minus the rejection cost (currently 25,000 OHSHII on ONS); the withheld part goes to the treasury |
| Vetoed, or a veto override that expired | Retained |
| Still open, or approved and awaiting execution | Nothing settles yet |
Settlement is automatic, and the proposer can also claim it manually from the proposal page. Every refund pays out net of the ledger’s transfer fee.
What has no fee at all
Section titled “What has no fee at all”Verifying your identity, voting, delegating or undelegating your Voting Power, claiming tokens after an LGE, claiming a referral reward, and reading anything on the platform. These cost only the ledger’s own transfer fee where a transfer is actually involved.
Where the fees go
Section titled “Where the fees go”Fees collected by OhShii accumulate in the OhShii treasury, and how they are used is decided by ONS proposals. Fees collected by a campaign — including its own proposal deposits — accumulate in that campaign’s DAO treasury, and are decided by its own token holders through its own proposals. OhShii neither directs nor takes part in those decisions.
